The club was started back in 1996, we have members at all levels of skill, from those who have only just got their first tree, to others with well over forty years of experience in bonsai.
Club nights are held on the second Monday of each month with various workshops throughout the year. These workshops are all free and are open to non members, there is usually one or more of the experienced members there to offer any help.
If you take a look at ‘what’s on’ this will give you an idea of what has been happening through the year so far, as well as planned future events. As you will see there are numerous talks and demonstrations by both club members as well as guest speakers who are well known in bonsai.
Help and advice is always at hand, as it can be difficult when starting out, you will often find contradicting advice when searching for information online.
If you find that you would like to become a full member there is an annual fee of £20.00 for a single membership or £30.00 for joint membership. Full membership also entitles you access to the club library where there is a good selection of books and dvd’s on the subject of bonsai, all of which can be borrowed free of charge.
So if you are new or an old hand at bonsai, come and say hello, the first meeting is free and new members are always very welcome.
Meetings are held at St Mary’s Church Hall, Decoy Drive, Eastbourne, BN22 9PP and start at 7:30pm.
