We have some very exciting news, we will be reopening the club on a Tuesday evening from the 15th March 2022 at St Marys Church Hall, 69 Decoy Drive, BN22 9PP from 7:30 to 10:00 pm. Please view our club programme page for meetings and events.
The Eastbourne and Wealden Bonsai Club was established in 1996 with the sole purpose of serving and supporting the Bonsai Community in and around the Eastbourne and Wealden area. With members from as far afield as Newhaven, Brighton and Hastings and in one case central Kent, we attract Bonsai Enthusiast and Hobbyist from a wide catchment area.

Bonsai has its origins in China in the artform known as Pen-Ching and Pen-Jing, the first recorded Pen-Ching, or Bonsai, was in China around 2,500 years ago. Pen Jing was introduced to Japan around 900 years ago with the introduction of Buddhism to the country, Monks would often use Bonsai as a form of meditation.
The Eastbourne and Wealden Bonsai Club EWBC welcomes those that are interested in all these art forms and anyone who wants to find a new Hobby.
